Job scope

  • Supervise and coordinate the technical aspects of a broadcast. This includes setting up, maintaining, and operating video switchers, audio interfaces, video processors, recording equipment, and related broadcast technology.
  • Work closely with the director and production team to execute the vision for broadcasts. This involves pre-production planning, understanding script and storyboard elements, and ensuring technical resources are aligned with production needs.
  • Monitor all technical aspects during broadcasts to ensure quality broadcast standards are met. This includes overseeing the video and audio feeds to prevent and troubleshoot any technical glitches.
  • Lead and manage a technical crew, including camera operators, sound engineers, and other technicians. Provide training and feedback to ensure high performance and professional development of team members.
  • Ensure all broadcast equipment is maintained in good working condition, schedule regular checks, and manage repairs and updates as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies in broadcasting and recommend upgrades and new technology to enhance production quality.
  • Assist in budgeting for technical equipment and crew needs. Oversee the procurement of new technologies within budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with all broadcasting standards and safety regulations during production.
  • Ensure recorded material meets production standards and requirements for post-production activities.
